The Illinois Professional Teaching Standards define Learning Environment as:
"The teacher uses an understanding of individual and group motivation and behavior to create a learning environment that encourages positive social interaction, active engagement in learning, and self-motivation."
I have worked hard to create a classroom that works and is intellectually stimulating. It is designed so that no student is ever more than one desk away from me, I have excellent technological resources and my materials are well organized.
