The Illinois Professional Teaching Standards define Instructional Delivery as:

"The teacher understands and uses a variety of instructional strategies to encourage students' development of critical thinking, problem solving, and performance skills."
Roman Coin Adventure Project
The Roman Coin Adventure Project was the result of a grant I was able to secure from the Community Foundation of Rockford. It allowed me to obtain a set of coin cleaning kits, a Roman Coin identification book as well as an uncleaned ancient Roman coin for each of my 9th Grade Ancient and Medieval History students. These students "excavated" their own coin from a large box of sand I provided, cleaned the coins, identified them (via Internet and the book) and completed a creative writing assignment incorporating the emperor that minted their coin and the coin itself. I chose this artifact because it uses several instructional delivery methods and is a fairly unique activity.
