Historical Fiction Magazine
As the newly-hired, co-managing editor of Historical Fiction Magazine, your job is to publish stories which are consistent with, and support the company’s mission statement.
Historical Fiction Magazine (HFM) is dedicated to serving the information and entertainment needs of purveyors (writers, readers, editors) of historical fiction world wide by providing entertaining, historically accurate examples of historical fiction.
Your first (and hopefully not last) assignment for HFM is to finish writing and editing the attached manuscript started by one of your freelance writers. Because your predecessor, Dr. Cornelius Hennessey, died suddenly in a bazaar gardening accident, and your freelance writer is too distraught to continue the project, you have very limited time to get the story out. You realize that the article provided has some serious holes in it and that some research will be required by you and your co-managing editor. To top it all off, neither you nor your partner has an extensive background in Egyptology. Luckily, Dr. Hennessey left you a list of sources before he died:

You’ve been struggling a long time and success on this project will most likely mean that you can finally have a steady, 9-5 job in the publishing.
