You have just been installed as governor of Florence and the demands of your subjects (especially the nobles) already seem overwhelming. Grasping hands always seem to be coming at you asking for money or favors. You do have plenty of money on hand thanks to a good year in wool and banking. One or two of your advisors have suggested that well placed "gifts" on your part in the form of money or positions of power to key nobles in your realm may ease the transition for you into power.
Save your money and do not give handouts to the nobles.
